New to yoga? Feel shy about stepping into a group class? Join Fiona Farjami for a two hour workshop that will set the foundations of your practice.
When: 1-3pm Saturday, April 29, 2017 | Early Bird: $45 | Door: $50
We’ll break down the key yoga postures and transitions, and put them back together in a smart, practical way. You’ll learn how to safely align your body and how to modify the poses to build a sustainable practice.
Learn about the three-fold approach of tristana, harnessing the senses with the use of breath control, energy locks and a clear gaze. Feel free to ask weird and wonderful questions, and dress in comfortable clothing so you’re ready to move!
Yoga mats available for hire: $1
PS. Are you a practiced yogi with a friend/parent/barista/mechanic who might like to come along? Send them our way. We promise to play nice.
About Fi: Fiona Farjami has been a yoga devotee for over 15 years and brings an incredible depth of knowledge to her classes. She fell in love with Ashtanga on her first trip to India and, on her return to London, began her journey with teacher Petra Mitidieri.
She has practised with Pattabhi Jois and John Scott in London, with Deb Grant and Fiona Pullen in Sydney and more recently been inspired by Bryan Kest, Maty Ezraty, Simon Park and Noelle Connolly.
Fi believes that the practice of yoga is for every body, transforming us from the inside out and allowing us to be ourselves. She is grateful for the privilege of being able to share her love and passion with others. Her other loves are her family, her two beautiful boys and boxer dog Baxter, who you might meet in the studio from time to time.
